The Afghan Nightmare – Winner of Best Documentary Film, UK Film Festival 2011

Sometimes a documentary comes along that illuminates not only the reality of a situation but really transports the viewer to the emotional heart of the conflict.

“The Afghan Nightmare” does more than this.  It haunts you for a long time afterwards. You sense you will never totally forget the journey of Colonel Rune Solberg, the Norwegian commander of NATO forces in the Faryab province, who determined to make a difference is forced to face the harsh truth.
 
The Afghan Nightmare is a very brave documentary that tells it like it is. We were both thrilled to feature this moving film as the climax of the UK Film Festival 2011.
