Jazz from the North is the first episode of a seven-episode musical series which provides a cross-section of the current state of jazz in the Nordic countries

How was the northern sound born and how has it evolved? The series answers these questions and also shows how jazz is learned, how it travels from musicians to listeners and details the jungle of musical culture from which Nordic jazz emerges. The first episode works well on its’ own as a documentary, an initial guide to the Nordic jazz today.
